Meet Your Guide

Hi I'm Ian Whitfield - owner of Moontongue Eco Adventures and your nationally accredited, qualified guide with over 20 years experience kayaking the Murray and Darling rivers.

Ian's Story - How Moontongue Eco Adventures Began
I grew up living on the Murray River at Trentham Cliffs. In my younger days my mates and I would spend all weekend boating and enjoying the natural environment the mighty Murray has to offer.

As I grew up I began adventuring around Australia. It was on one of these adventures that I met a very interesting fellow adventurer who owned and made kayaks. I wanted to start a part-time business and he suggested kayaking.

I created Moontongue Eco Adventures in 2006 and have been enjoying the company of many people from around the world telling their stories as we paddle on Australia’s most iconic rivers the Murray and Darling Rivers ever since.

Join me on a Moontongue Eco Adventure and try one of the magnificent guided kayak adventures in the Mildura, Gol Gol, and Wentworth regions. I'll take you on a relaxing paddle through some of the most spectacular and breathtaking scenery the Murray and Darling rivers have to offer - up close and quiet.
